Unscheduled Thames Water works cause road closure in centre of Pangbourne

Unscheduled works carried out by Thames Water are causing problems for people in Pangbourne.

Pangbourne Parish Council said that the works have "completely closed" the centre of the village.

It said that they appeared overnight with no prior warning or advance permit.

Many of the alternative roads including Sulham Lane are now also blocked .

The council has asked that drivers avoid the area and use alternative routes if possible .

West Berkshire Council highways team is working to get these works removed and will provide updates when it has more information.
