Roadworks expected soon in Thatcham and Cold Ash

Road closures are expected in and around Thatcham over the next two weeks.

The Ridge, in Cold Ash, will be closed on Thursday, August 8, between 8am and 5pm to allow Volker Highways to carry out permanent carriageway repairs on behalf of West Berkshire Council.

The closure will be between its junctions with Cold Ash Hill and Collaroy Road.

There will also be another road closure along Lower Way in Thatcham between August 12 and 31.

The closure will be in force all the time between its junction with Glebelands and with Paynesdown Road.

The main purpose of the closure is to allow the installation of new gas and electric connections.

The diversion will be signed on site.

Residential and blue light access will be maintained where possible.
