UPDATE: Crash shuts A4 at Woolhampton between Brimpton Road and Station Road

Part of the A4 in West Berkshire was shut yesterday afternoon after a crash.

At 12:40pm, two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station responded to a crash on Bath Road in Woolhampton. The road was closed between Brimpton Road and Station Road.

Upon arrival, crews discovered a car had collided with a lamppost.

No one was trapped inside the vehicle but crews did provide Immediate Emergency Care (IEC) to one individual.

Crews remained on the scene for approximately 54 minutes before they handed the incident over to Thames Valley Police.

Reports indicate that traffic is now flowing as normal. More details to follow once we have them.
