UPDATE: Unplanned roadworks in Pangbourne continue

Roadworks in Pangbourne are ongoing, but two-way traffic lights have been removed.

Unplanned utility repairs and maintenance works on Reading Road between The Moors and Meadow Lane junctions are still in effect, and Pangbourne Parish Council is pushing to remove these to prevent further disruption.

Thames Water have classified the works as an emergency under their emergency powers which had previously been refused by West Berkshire Council under a normal permit, say the council.

Pangbourne Parish Council and West Berkshire Council have been pushing Thames Water to remove the works as soon as possible, and have been told the removal will take place tonight.
