Vandals target hundreds of cars with yellow spray paint

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information from the public in connection with the criminal damage offences across the force that have occurred in Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire, however similar reports have been recorded in places as far apart as Northampton and Somerset.
In total there have been 141 incidents across the force, in Newbury and Thatcham as well as Windsor, Reading, Henley on Thames, Carterton, Witney, Bampton, Faringdon, Burford, Milton Keynes, Banbury, Oxford, Aylesbury, Gerrards Cross, Amersham, Bracknell, Great Missenden, High Wycombe, Slough and Bicester.
Police said the nature of the offences led officers to believe all of the incidents were connected.
Police constable Samantha Hall said: “The first reported incident to us was on 12 March, and the most recent was on 31 March.
“I believe that someone out there must be able to provide us with some information about who is responsible for this criminal damage, and I would urge them to come forward and speak to us as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information should contact the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 101 or anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.
