Vehicle fire on M4 eastbound between Chieveley and Theale
A vehicle is on fire on the M4 eastbound between Junction 13 and Junction 12 today (Monday).
Emergency services are in attendance.
Multiple fire engines are at the scene.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene at 8.29am.
Two crews from Newbury Fire Station and one crew from Theale Community Fire Station were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a vehicle well alight.
They used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
They were on the scene for just under 35 minutes.
One of three lanes is closed.
There are delays of up to 40 minutes against expected traffic.
Normal traffic conditions are expected between 10.45am and 11am.

There has been a vehicle fire on the M4 westbound within Junction 11 today (Monday).
Thames Valley Police said the fire near Junction 11 was dealt with by the fire services.
A spokesperson said: “No injuries were reported Highways England have taken ownership of the carriageway.”
National Highways said the fire has been extinguished.
Traffic has been released past the scene.
Lanes one, two and three – of five lanes - remain closed for vehicle recovery and carriageway inspection.
There are delays of 30 minutes against expected traffic.
There are also delays on the westbound exit slip.
Normal traffic conditions are expected at 10am today.
