Officers attended and, with the help of the public, located and arrested three boys, all aged 15.

The victim suffered minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.

A 15-year-old boy from Reading has been charged with one count each of robbery and possession of a bladed or pointed article in a public place.

Two other 15-year-old boys, from Newbury and Iver, Buckinghamshire, have both been charged with one count of robbery.

The boys, none of whom can be identified for legal reasons, all appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, December 26.

The magistrates released them all on conditional bail to appear at the same court on January 10 next year.
