Video: Footage of Parkway jump threat drama

The 20-year-old was eventually talked down after a two-hour stand-off with police as hundreds of horrified eyewitnesses looked on.
His dangerous antics on the plant works at the flats near the multi-million pound mixed-use complex shocked shoppers and alarmed police who cordoned off nearby Victoria Park in an attempt to avert disaster.
According to those who watched the man clamber up the crane he had been seen drinking alcohol near the rear of the John Lewis store in Parkway earlier in the day.
Word of the incident spread quickly and police soon arrived to restore order, however despite appeals the man refused to give himself up and could be seen precariously dangling off the top of the crane as he climbed around and continued shouting.
Construction workers were told to down tools and went to join members of the public to watch the drama play out.
Roads were cordoned off and buses were diverted away from the shopping centre leaving those attempting to get home, some elderly, confused as to where they should go in the face of orders from police community support officers.
A spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police, Alice Adderley said that police officers successfully persuaded the man to come down from the crane.
Earlier as the incident unfolded the force confirmed it was dealing with a welfare incident.
Despite the obvious risks to his and others safety and the sizeable presence of police, a fire officer from Newbury fire station and a land ambulance, it emerged this week the man was not likely to face charges of endangering the public.
“A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of breaching a restraining order in connection with the incident,” Miss Adderly said.
Costain declined to comment when asked how the man was able to gain access to the crane and scale it, but confirmed a full investigation would take place.
