VIDEO: Downs School pupils talk about local politics




Local politics can get confusing. But how well do West Berkshire’s younger residents understand this?

Ahead of the Local Elections tomorrow (Thursday), reporter Mirek Gosney met with Year 8 and 12 pupils at The Downs School in Compton to discuss their interest and views on local politics and the main issues facing the county.

Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm tomorrow.

All 43 seats on West Berkshire Council are up for election.

The following towns and parishes are also holding elections: Newbury Town Council, Thatcham Town Council, Stanford Dingley Parish Council and East Ilsley Parish Council.

Visit https://www.westberks.gov.uk/election-2023 to find your nearest polling station.

And remember to bring a valid form of Photo ID to vote.
