Bric a Brac sale at Ashford Hill Church a ‘wonderful’ affair




Members of the community enjoyed a successful village sale at the weekend.

A Bric a Brac stall raised more than £1,061 for St Paul's Church at Ashford Hill on Saturday afternoon (October 5).

"It was marvellous in all aspects,” said Terry Richardson, a member of the parochial church council.

“It was wonderful; we had the most fantastic donations of good quality Bric a Brac and clothing and all sorts.

"I think everyone that came had a really good time.

“They kept filling up their bags and asking if they could go to the car and come back.

"It is a tremendous amount of work and organisation to make it a success.

“But it is the public that make it a success and we are so grateful for all those people that came.”

Items classing as Bric a Brac including various small decorative antiques and trinkets.

The event is held once a year. Entry cost 20p.
