Reading Magistrates' Court: Great Shefford man made threats in Newbury




A MAN has been convicted of threatening behaviour.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, November 1, was Peter Berry.

The 30-year-old, of The Mead, Great Shefford, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress thereby.

The offence was committed in Newbury on Tuesday, September 27.

Mr Berry has previously been jailed for burgling homes in Lambourn and Eastbury.

For his latest offence he was made subject to a two-year conditional discharge.

Mr Berry was required to pay a statutory victim services surcharge but no order was made for costs because of his lack of means to pay.
