East Woodhay Neighbourhood Plan going to referendum following Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council approval

The East Woodhay Neighbourhood Plan will be going to referendum after being approved by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.

An independent examiner recommended the plan go to referendum, subject to a number of minor amendments which East Woodhay Parish Council has accepted and approved.

In their report, the examiner said: “Subject to my recommendations being accepted, I consider that the East Woodhay Neighbourhood Plan 2022-2029 will provide a strong practical framework against which decisions on development can be made.

“I am pleased to recommend that the East Woodhay Neighbourhood Plan 2022-2029, as modified by my recommendations, should proceed to Referendum.”

Basingstoke and Deane need to make the final checks on the updated plan, and then set a date for when it goes to referendum.
