Compton post office gets modern makeover

A village post office has been fully refurbished after a new postmaster took over in July.

Postmaster Ram Reddy took over Compton Post Office in July and has now reopened the branch following a week-long refurbishment.

"The modernised post office looks great and is now open longer hours than before, making it very convenient to visit," said Post Office business support manager Jo Scott-Ison.

Numerous changes have been made, including new opening hours providing 56 hours of service a week on Monday to Saturday (9am to 6pm) and on Sunday (11am to 1pm)

The older, full-screened counter has also been replaced by an open-plan counter alongside the retail counter of the village shop.
