The Swan at Pangbourne closed due to flooding

FLOODING continues to be a problem across the area, with one village pub overwhelmed.

This was The Swan pub restaurant on Shooters Hill, Pangbourne, this afternoon, Saturday.

One local resident said: “We’ve been here five years – not seen anything like it.”

Meanwhile West Berkshire Council advised: “We strongly advise residents to be very careful if out walking.

“Please don't walk on paths close to water.

“Even shallow moving water can knock you off your feet.

“Floodwater may also contain debris, sharp objects, manhole covers, sewage and chemicals.

“We strongly advise residents to take care if driving.
