Ecchinswell and Sydmonton Primary School celebrates after receiving Good Ofsted rating
Ecchinswell and Sydmonton Primary School has been rated Good after its latest Ofsted inspection.
Pupils, staff, parents and governors are celebrating after the village school received Good ratings across the board in all five Ofsted categories.
The school was praised for being highly inclusive, particularly for pupils with SEND; for having a well-designed curriculum’ and its pupils having positive relationships with each other and with staff.
One section of the report stated: “Pupils’ personal development is developed in a deliberate and considered way.
“Leaders have thought about how the curriculum can support pupils to build character as they journey through the school.”
Ofsted inspectors also found that Ecchinswell and Sydmonton’s arrangements for safeguarding were effective.
The two-day inspection took place on May 23 and 24 this year.
Headteacher Sharon Pole said: “We want our pupils to get the very best out of their school experience, not just academically but in their personal development as well.
“The Ofsted report shows that we are succeeding in our ambitious goals for the pupils, which is testament to the dedication of all our staff.”
Chair of governors Kathy Gordon added: “Ecchinswell School feels like a family.
“The Ofsted report confirms what the governing board sees every day, that everyone who works there, attends as a pupil or supports the school as a parent, governor or volunteer has contributed to this good outcome.”
