Village swap shop in East Garston today (Sat)
The event is being run by Hungerford Environmental Action Team (HEAT) and East Garston Amenities.
One of the organisers, Penny Locke, encouraged people to “have a good clear out and take along stuff you don't need any more and help yourself to other people's bits and pieces - for free.”
She added: “You're welcome to take items even if you don't bring any - the aim is to prevent stuff from going to the landfill.”
Any items left over will be taken by the Community Furniture Project.
Items such as DVDs, games, books, clothes, furniture, garden tools, craft materials and linen can be dropped off from 1pm.
Call Penny Locke on 01488 648534 or email
to arrange earlier deliveries.
Small mains electrical appliances can be accepted and will be PAT tested on the day.
There will also be a raffle and refreshments available at the event.
