Villages make top five coolest places to live in Berkshire
Bray is the coolest place to live in Berkshire, according to a new survey.
The village was the highest rated location in the county, closely followed by Twyford in second place, Cookham in third, Yattendon in fourth and Pangbourne in fifth.
Berkshire ranked 32nd as a county in a national list of the 50 coolest places to live.
Naturecan — a CBD health business backed by ex-England cricketer, Freddie Flintoff — polled 5,000 people with panels in each county.
Locations were ranked according to the number of independent shops per head, the range of cultural events, how 'Instagrammable' their best features were and their popularity as a film and TV location.
"Bray is the coolest place to live in Berkshire, narrowly beating Twyford in second place," said Naturecan's chief executive, Andy Duckworth.
"All 50 places on the list would have been worthy winners and show why the UK and Berkshire in particular are such beautiful places, loved by filmmakers and tourists from all over the world.
"Hidden gems, which are largely only visited by local tourists, can find themselves being showcased throughout the world if they are pictured by the right influencer or featured in a movie."
