Violent offender Andrew Harding from Newbury locked up on GBH charge against woman
A VIOLENT offender has been sent, in custody, to the crown court charged with causing a woman grievous bodily harm.
Andrew Harding appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, August 15.
The Newbury 42-year-old, currently said to be of no fixed address, is accused of breaking a violent offender order by failing to notify police if he starts an intimate relationship with any female.
He is also charged with assaulting his victim in Newbury, thereby causing her grievous bodily harm on Monday, August 12.
Mr Harding, who was legally represented by Mason Waker, was told the case was being sent to Reading Crown Court to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury on a date to be fixed.
He was meanwhile denied bail and was remanded in custody.
