Virtual reality gaming centre to open in Thatcham

Calling all gamers, a new virtual reality gaming centre is coming to Thatcham this month.

MeetspaceVR will be opening at the Colthrop Industrial Estate on Friday, June 17 for a gaming experience that is...unreal.

Players will be able to really get their head in the game in the Zero Latency experience, where up to eight players can jump into a VR “arena” and “become the controllers”.

Escape rooms and an immersive playzone are among some of the other activities that have taken a VR twist.

Virtual reality arcade activities, directed at ages from 10 onwards, will feature games like Fruit Ninja, Angry Birds and for older players Creed Rise to Glory, Paranormal Activity and others.

CEO of MeetspaceVR John Lilley said: “We have been lucky over the past two years to have such amazing and supportive customers.

“As home VR gaming grows in the UK, we are fully focussed on delivering social, free-roam experiences that are quite simply mind-blowing and cannot be achieved at home.”
