Volunteers needed for Dogs Trust open day this month

The charity has appealed for volunteers to help on the day, with barkingly good skills including running a barbecue and traffic control top of the wish list:
“If these are any skills that you possess and want to donate your time, then Dogs Trust Newbury needs you,” said Sarah Graham, a spokeswoman for the trust, pointing out chefs to help with the barbecue were in demand.
“Volunteers need to be enthusiastic, reliable and happy to get stuck in,” she added.
Other jobs on the day range from admission, running games and stalls, to helping with refreshments, or the Doggy Dash.
The open day is from 12pm on Sunday July 21 at the Dog’s Trust Rehoming Centre, Newbury, Plumb’s Farm, Hamstead Marshall, RG20 OHR.
Volunteers should be available from 11am to 4pm on this day.
Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 16,0000 dogs each year, through 18 rehoming centres across the UK.
