Vote for Fiona

Newbury-based composer Fiona Bennett is listed among some of the world’s finest composers in this year’s Classic FM ‘Hall of Fame’ competition.
Every Easter, the classical radio station counts down the top 300 favourites, as voted for by the general public, and this year, Fiona has three pieces from her album A Country Suite on the list of possible choices.
“I am thrilled and delighted to be included in this year's voting, alongside some of my all-time favourite composers,” said Fiona, who originally came to Newbury in 1990 for a one-month contract at the Pinchington Lane Hilton piano bar and never left.
“I released the album to celebrate my 50th birthday in 2012 and it is a real thrill to think that Classic FM listeners are voting for my music in this, the world’s greatest classical chart countdown.”
