Walkabout Newbury hosting farewell party in the town centre tomorrow

Newbury Walkabout is hosting its final farewell party tomorrow tonight (Saturday, March 22).

Don’t miss your chance to say goodbye with a night of confetti, drinks deals and giveaways and beats by DJ2Play, starting at 9pm.

Stonegate Pub Company announced the popular Australian-themed pub was closing last September.

The pub, known for its party nights and live sport, was listed for sale on Quinton’s for more than £1,100,000.

Stonegate bought the Cheap Street venue, previously The Diamond Tap, in 2018. It reopened after a £400,000 investment.

Newburytoday has contacted Stonegate to confirm who is taking over and their plans for the venue.
