Wallaby still on the run from Tadley Police

Officers responded to a report from a member of the public, who said they saw a “kangaroo like” animal bouncing around near Union Lane.
A tweet from Tadley Police on Tuesday read: “We have had a report of a kangaroo loose in #Kingsclere have you seen one? We are in the area looking now.”
They later tweeted: “We have 5 or so confirmed sightings now of a wallaby (small kangaroo) in Kingsclere do you know where this has come from?”
Comments on social media suggest it could be Wanda - the wallaby who hopped off from her enclosure at a Wiltshire farm and took herself on a holiday across the countryside.
The animal has since been spotted skipping and jumping around various locations in Wiltshire, most recently near Ramsbury Brewery.
With his tongue firmly in his cheek, Craig Sandhoe, who works for Acrobat Vehicle Rental in Union Lane - where the animal was reportedly spotted - told Newburytoday.co,uk “I have seen a few giraffes and elephants outside and a few pheasants - but no wallabies.”
A Facebook group called ‘Where’s Wanda , Wiltshire’s wandering wallaby’ which was set up to keep the animal safe and organise a rescue mission, now has more than 400 members.

A spokeswoman for Hampshire Police, Hazel Wills, said on Tuesday morning that officers have so far been unable to locate the animal.
She added that they had contacted the RSPCA, but were told that as a wallaby is classed as a wild animal it should be left alone unless it is injured or distressed.
A wallaby is classed as any animal belonging to the family Macropodidae that is smaller than a kangaroo and hasn't been designated otherwise.
They can grow up to six feet tall from head to tail.
