Want to be an extra in a 1930s movie filming in Wiltshire?
Extras agency The Casting Collective has put out an urgent call for extras needed in Wiltshire for a major new 1930s feature film.
Filming is taking place from now until end of June 2022.
The notice says that everyone over 17 years old is welcome to apply, but you must have a National Insurance number and be legally allowed to work in the UK.
You will also need to be able to get to Reading for costume fittings prior to shoot days.
The call is for extras of all ages and gender and of all ethnicities.
Filming will be taking place in Wiltshire and London, although exact locations have not been revealed.
For all extras having your own car is an advantage, but not crucial.
Casting Collective director Laura Sheppard said: "We are looking for extras to play 1930s citizens in the film. It may be for just one day, a few days, or more during the March to June shooting period.
"Dates will depend on the particular characters and the scenes requirements. If you generally have good availability, live in the Wiltshire area and would like to be considered at this stage all are welcome to apply. "
She also explained that they will ask the men to start growing out short hair (if nature allows) so they will be able to have the correct 1930s short back and sides, longer on top style cut by the production hair and make up team at their costume fitting.
She said: "Much longer hair for men will need to be cut shorter at the fitting too. Women will ideally have chin to bust length hair with no obvious dye or highlights."
She added: "You will receive a good rate of pay for this work."
For urgent casting calls the Casting Collective reminds applicants to only apply if they fit the brief and that they will only be considered for the project they apply for.
Urgent casting calls are time specific and only open for a short time.
