Wanted: foster homes for cats in West Berkshire

Following a spike in the number of people seeking to rehome their cats, a rescue centre has put out a call for local foster carers.

St Francis Persian Rescue are currently looking for fosterers in Tilehurst, Tidmarsh, Sulham, Purley, Pangbourne, Basildon, Goring and Streatley.

The organisation reports that it has received a large referrals in the light of national lockdowns, with cat owners no longer able to take care of their pets.

Cats would be fostered for periods between 3.5 weeks and 12 weeks.

All vet bills will be financed by the rescue centre, and food and essential equipment can also be provided.

If a cat cannot be rehomed due to medical reasons, St Francis management will take on care duties full-time.
