Wanted: Police search for man with previous sexual assault and robbery convictions with links to Newbury and Reading

Police are searching for a wanted person who has been recalled to prison.

North Yorkshire Police are searching for Jason Whiteoak, from Selby, who has convictions for serious sexual assault and robbery.

Thames Valley Police confirmed investigations have linked him to Reading, Oxford, Abingdon and Newbury in the past few days.

The 52-year-old was last seen in Cambridge town centre on Monday, February 17, as captured below on CCTV.

Whiteoak, who can present as female under the name Karla, has also been known by a number of other names.

Detective chief inspector Dave Ellis appealed directly to Whiteoak, saying: “I’d urge you to get in touch so we can speak to you and help resolve this matter.”
