Wargaming group to mark 50th anniversary with Newbury showcase event

A club dedicated to the hobby of wargaming is to mark its 50th anniversary with a special showcase next month.

Newbury Racecourse is the venue for the Colours 2024 event.

Organised by the Newbury and Reading Wargames Society, it will feature thousands of models, dozens of trade stands, a bring and buy sale, games, displays and activities.

Other displays will include the Anglo-Ottoman War of 1809, and Operation Sealion, an imaginary look at a Second World War invasion of Britain.

The event runs from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, September 14. Entry is £5.
