Warm spaces open up in Thatcham this winter

Churches across Thatcham will be opening their doors this winter for those seeking a warm safe space.

It is hoped that this initiative will help people financially as the rise in energy costs continue to cause concern.

There will sometimes be activities going on which people are invited to take part in but it can also be used as a space for people to do their own thing whether it be working, reading or socialising with the community.

There will be free tea and coffee available as well as WiFi and all ages are welcome.

Thatcham Warm Spaces are open at four locations across the town, Thatcham Baptist Church on Wheelers Green Way, St Mary’s Church on Church Gate, United Reformed Church (URC) on Church Lane and Glendale Church on Green Lane.

The opening times for Thatcham Warm Spaces are:

Thatcham Baptist Church: Monday 10.30am to 2.30pm and Thursday 12.30pm to 4.30pm.

St Mary’s Church: Monday 2pm to 4pm.

United Reformed Church: Tuesday 10amto noon and Wednesday 2pm to 4pm.

Glendale Church: Tuesday 2pm to 4pm and Friday 2pm to 4pm.
