Warning of snow overnight in the Newbury and surrounding area
Flood alerts lifted affecting River Thames at Pangbourne.
The Met Office is still warning that snow is likely during the early hours of tomorrow (Wed) morning which could cause disruption for commuters.
The Met Office issued a warning of snow for the south east, including the Newbury area from 8pm this evening (Wed) until 10am Thurs.
Some places will see rain or sleet, rather than snow, with higher ground and some lower elevations likely to see a covering of snow, perhaps a few centimetres.
Meanwhile, two flood alerts affecting the River Thames in the Pangbourne area were lifted earlier this week, following last week’s heavy rain.
The Environment Agency (EA) lifted two flood alerts including one applicable to the River Thames and tributaries from Days Lock, Little Wittenham to above Pangbourne.
A second flood alert, affecting a further stretch of the River Thames, from Pangbourne to Purley, was also lifted.
