Water supply to be cut in Peasemore so leaks can be fixed

Residents in the village have said the leaks in Hatt Close and Field Road have been ongoing for a number of weeks.
Today (Monday) Thames Water confirmed that the problem in Hatt Close is ‘serious’ and investigations are due to be carried out by engineers tonight.
However, spokesman for the water company, Simon Evans said that in order for the problem to be fixed the water supply to around 350 homes will have to be temporarily cut.
Although investigations are scheduled to be carried this evening, the work to rectify the leaks is expected to take place throughout the night tomorrow into Wednesday to have minimum impact on residents, Mr Evans said.
