Director’s 100 push-ups a day in memory of Watermill theatre supporter and mentor
The artistic director of The Watermill, Paul Hart, is undertaking the Press-Up challenge in aid of Cancer Research. The challenge requires him to undertake 100 push-ups a day throughout for every day throughout November.
Paul is undertaking the challenge in memory of Euan Smith who died at the end of last year. He was associate director of the Bagnor theatre for more than 20 years, directing many famous productions and lived at Westbrook.
“Euan was a brilliant supporter of the theatre and a great mentor to me.
“I wanted to do something to continue to celebrate his legacy,” said Paul.
“He lived his life to the full and he also gave everything a try with his cancer treatment including immunotherapy and donating his body to medical science.
“I know he’d think this was a suitably unusual way to continue celebrating his legacy! We all miss him dearly.”
