Waterstones to relocate to Parkway

The bookstore confirms the move months after Metro Bank announces Northbrook Street store takeover

Waterstones is soon to open a new store in Newbury’s Parkway shopping centre.

Dates for the closure of the Northbrook Street store and the relocation to Parkway have not yet been confirmed, however it is expected to be in late spring.

The bookstore will open a 3,600 sq ft store in the centre’s Middle Street, between Jack Wills and Lakeland.

Metro Bank will open in Waterstones’ current unit at 64 Northbrook Street.

Parkway centre director David Pickett said: “We are delighted to welcome Waterstones to Parkway shopping centre.

“This well-known and popular British brand will bring Middle Street to fully let and offer our shoppers even more choice when visiting the centre.”
