Waterways festival in full swing

More than 2,000 people are expected to enjoy a dose of Midsummer Madness - the theme of this year's Waterways Festival.
The event was in full swing this morning after town mayor Anthony Pick welcomed the crowds.
Among the boats was a spectacular Alice in Wonderland-themed narrowboat named Gallinago.
Kennet and Avon Canal trust chairman Rob Dean said: "The idea of today's festival is simple - to remind Newbury of its heritage as a canal town."
Swing band Group Sax entertained, while crowds browsed stalls, took boat trips and chatted to boat owners.
At 4pm, 1,000 ducks will be dropped from the canal bridge, signalling the start of the annual duck race.
