Yellow weather warning by the Met Office for heavy rain across West Berkshire on Sunday

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain tomorrow (Sunday).

A band of heavy rain and thundery showers is expected to slowly drift east throughout the day.

Where these showers become slow moving, the Met Office warns, 30 to 40 mm of rain could fall in a relatively short time leading to surface water flooding and transport disruption.

The warning is in place throughout the whole day across West Berkshire.

The alert warns of a small chance of flooding and spray on the roads could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.

There is also a slight chance of power cuts, the Met Office warns.

Heavy rains are expected this weekend.
