A weather warning remains in place for West Berkshire until midnight tonight.
The Met Office has issued the yellow warning for rain across large swathes of the area throughout Tuesday.
There is the chance of heavy rainfall leading to disruption, it warns.
The band of rain is expected to move north eastwards across the country today, with the chance of thunder in a number of place.
Around 15-25mm of rain is likely, with up to 40mm in some areas, which could lead to localised flooding.
The Met Office warns that in a few places the rain could become intense – with up to 70mm of rainfall causing more significant disruption.
