Met Office issues thunderstorm warning for West Berkshire




The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms in West Berkshire today (Sunday).

The wet weather is expected to last from 8pm tonight until 4am tomorrow (Monday).

The Met Office said there may be some localised disruption tonight with potential damage to some buildings and structures from lightning strikes and gusty winds.

There is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water, locally gusty winds or hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus.

There is also a chance that some homes and businesses will be flooded, leading to some damage to buildings or structures.

Delays to train services are possible and there may be some short term loss of power and other services.
