Wedding barn conversion application resubmitted at Beenham
Plans submitted earlier this year to convert farm buildings into a wedding and events venue were recently withdrawn.
But these were resubmitted on Friday, February 24.
The proposal, submitted by Nigel Hopes — joint owner of The Six Bells pub — would see existing outbuildings at Awberry Farm, Beenham adapted to accommodate 140 guests, including accommodation and additional parking.
The proposal seeks consent to host up to 28 events in the barn per year, on Saturdays only.
The main differences with this latest application include alterations to opening times.
Guests can now only visit the site between 12pm and 11.45pm — as opposed to between 10am and 12.15am as requested previously.
The former proposal also mentioned plans to host a further 12 events per year for residents of Beenham, but this detail is absent from the new application.
The latest application is currently being decided by West Berkshire Council.
