Weeks of roadworks in Bagnor and Lower Way

The closure is to enable the replacement of a drainage culvert in order to improve the capacity of a nearby watercourse, and to help prevent flooding.
Weather permitting, the work will be completed under a 24-hour road closure with no through access.
A signed diversion route will be in place through Boxford, and signs will be erected to inform motorists that businesses in Bagnor will be open as usual.
Five weeks of roadworks on Lower Way, Thatcham, are also scheduled to begin on Monday.
West Berkshire Council will be carrying out kerb replacement and drainage work between the Moors roundabout and Herons Way.
Temporary traffic lights will be in place while the work is undertaken, expected to finish on July 18.
The council is expecting a medium impact to traffic, but warned drivers of possible delays. The work comes ahead of resurfacing the road which is scheduled for the end of August.
