Welford Park's popular snowdrop display is back

TORRENTIAL storms may have battered many parts of the district this month, but one beauty spot has remained unscathed.
It has become a tradition to open the grounds of Welford Park during February so that the snowdrops can be viewed by all.
Welford Park owner James Puxley said: “The snowdrops have survived through the weather and actually came early this year due to the mild winter. What we need now is a cold, dry February for them to really prosper.
“We had around 14,000 visitors last year and we are hoping for a big crowd again this year.”
The grounds are open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday, 11am until 4pm, until March 2. For ticket prices, visit www.welfordpark.co.uk
