Where can I enjoy an afternoon tea and wellbeing walk for Daisy’s Dream charity?
A bereavement charity is inviting families to join it for a peaceful afternoon, writes Grace Dowdney.
Daisy’s Dream, which provides support for children and young people who have been affected by bereavement, is holding its Wellbeing Walk & Cream Tea at Englefield Gardens.
The event is taking place on Saturday, July 5, from 2pm to 4pm.
A spokesperson for the charity said: “This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a relaxing afternoon with loved ones – all while raising funds to support bereaved children and young people across Berkshire.”
The charity added that on the day guests can take a walk through the historic estate gardens, reconnect with nature, and relax with a handmade cream tea in the sunshine.
This family friendly event is the “perfect chance to pause, unwind, and support a vital cause”.
A highlight of the event will be a song and storytime with Julia Keys, counsellor and CEO of Hug-a-bug world, who will share one of her children’s books promoting emotional resilience and self-worth with an opportunity for book signing.
The session will take place under a tipi, supplied by The Sleepover Party People.
It will also be an opportunity to support a local business Colline’s Kitchen, which will be baking the scones for the cream tea.
Guests will be invited to enjoy their scones and tea around the estate or at a peaceful outdoor spot.
Tickets for the day cost just £8.50 and children under six are free, you just need to book a free of charge ticket.
There will be live performances from Glee Club UK and SoulReason, bringing uplifting music to the gardens.
