West Berks junior citizen scheme launched
West Berkshire Council has launched its Junior Citizen scheme and anyone can nominate a young person for the prize for something special they have done over the last year.
The award is aimed at people aged 18 years and under who live within West Berkshire.
To be eligible for nomination the young person should have performed an act of bravery, shown a helping or caring attitude to someone who is disadvantaged, contributed to making West Berkshire a better place to live and work or achieved excellence in education, training, employment or in an outside activity.
The nominations are judged by a panel of independent representatives and this year, prizes include an activity voucher for Adventure Dolphin and an engraved medallion.

The closing date for nominations is Friday, November 1 and the award will be presented at the Full Council meeting on Thursday, December 12.
