West Berkshire Museum seeks items for Burghfield, Wokefield and Beech Hill exhibition

West Berkshire Museum has hosted a series of exhibitions focusing on local parishes since 2019.

It next plans to feature the parishes of Burghfield, Wokefield and Beech Hill from September, and is keen to include items loaned by local residents telling their history.

Staff invite anyone happy to lend items to the exhibition from September 27, 2023, until September 22, 2024, to contact them before the end of April.

The exhibition will cover the history of the three parishes ranging from the prehistoric period right up until the present day.

The displays will examine the story of the large manor houses and their families, the types of education available and the impact of changing working environments in each area.
