Bower Farm in Aldworth and Strouds Farm, Lambourn Woodlands opened their gates for families to get close to pigs, chickens, cows and goats, and enjoy many other farming activities.
As part of a series of county-wide Open Farm events the farms ran lots of activities for youngsters in its barns.
A spokeswoman for Strouds Farm, Clare Pool, said about 700 visitors enjoyed tractor and trailer rides, meeting the animals, playing in a grain-filled sandpit and getting up close to the enormous machinery.
The day was promoted by Linking Environment and Farming and has become a key part of the farming calendar.
