Friday

Quiz night, Newbury Rugby Club, 7.30pm, £15.

Ticket includes a buffet. All proceeds go to the King Edward Ward (cancer care unit) at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. Full access to bar and raffle on the night.

Saturday

Forget me not craft session in aid of the Alzheimer's Society, Brightwalton Church, 10am to 12pm.

Bring your own forget me not themed craft to make whilst chatting to friends and enjoying a cup of tea. These will be sold at the craft fair the following Saturday.

Aldworth market, Aldworth Village Hall, 10.30am to 12pm.

Stalls include hand-knitted children’s clothes and toys sold in aid of the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice, home-made jams and preserves and garden plants, hand-crafted cards and candles plus fresh fruit and veg, tuckshop and teabar.

Bee day, Nature Discovery Centre, Thatcham, 11am to 3pm, free.

Meet local beekeepers and enthusiasts to discover the beneficial effects that bees have on our environment. Stalls include bee-related craft demonstrations, pollination information, a bee swarming area and activities for kids.

Meet Lego Batman, The Entertainer, Parkway, 12pm to 4pm.

Meet the caped crusader and snap a selfie with him.

Sunday

Newbury Vegan Market, Market Place, 10am to 5pm.

Featuring a wide range of vendors including vegan street food, baked goods and sweet treats, ethical fashion brands, cruelty-free cosmetics, handmade arts and crafts, artisan items as well as local and national charities and outreach stalls.

Family day, Victoria Park, 12pm to 4pm, free.

Entertainment for all ages including traditional Punch & Judy shows, live music on the bandstand, a climbing wall, tennis sessions, Rugby Tots tryouts, bowls club open day and a fire engine and police car to explore.

Tea dance, Royal British Legion, Pelican Lane, 1.30pm to 4pm, £3.

Ballroom, sequence and Latin dancing. All welcome.
