Saturday
Father’s Day weekend, 4 Kingdoms Adventure Park, Headley.
Dads go free (with a paying person) throughout the weekend and recieve a free Yorkie bar. Valid Saturday and Sunday.
Children’s arts festival, The Croft, Hungerford, 11am to 3pm, free.
T-shirt printing, circus skills, bubbleology, story writing, drumming and painting are just a few of the activities on offer.
Sunday
Newbury Racecourse 5k, 10k and half marathon, 10am to 1pm.
The race involves laps around the circuit, the course is flat and quick. There will be 1 lap for the 5k, 2 laps for the 10k and 4 laps for the half marathon.Tickets available at http://rb.gy/zifnr
Inkpen village market, Inkpen Village Hall, 10am to 12.30pm, free.
Village market with a variety of stalls to shop from including home bakes, jams, chutneys, honey, bread, eggs, gifts, cards, plants and more.
Chieveley fete, Chieveley Manor, 2pm to 5pm, £2.50.
Child entry free. Parking available at Manor and Village Hall. Only guide dogs permitted.
Monday
Newbury and District Transport Group meeting, Kennet School Learning Hub, Thatcham, 7.30pm to 10pm, free.
John Baxter will give an illustrated presentation of the history of the Somerset and Dorset Railway. Refreshments and raffle. All welcome, no membership.
Thursday
Art talk, Kurt Jackson’s Rivers, The Base, 6.30pm to 8pm, £15.
Join author and naturalist Clive Chatters to explore Kurt Jackson’s paintings and the place of Greenham Common as a landscape of continuity and change. Price includes entry to the exhibition and a glass of wine/orange juice. River exhibition at The Base until August 6.
