TextileArt07 textile exhibition, Greenham Control Tower, free.
Beyond4Walls is an exhibition of works by local textile artists. Open on Wednesdays to Fridays 10.30am to 3pm and weekends from 10am to 4pm. Runs until July 23.
Saturday
Renartgades Modern Makers Fair, Waterside Centre, 10am to 6pm, free.
Fair that features a hand picked selection of some of the best makers, bakers, crafters, artists, creative shop owners and food and drink producers in the local area.
Vinyl disco, Royal British Legion, Pelican Lane, 7.30pm to 12am. £7.50 on the door, £5 in advance from the club.
Sunday
Berkshire Classic & Performance Motor Show, Newbury Showground, 10am to 4pm, £9.
The main display will be situated on the main show field and will encompass a sweeping display of hundreds of classic cars from all eras, plus classic motorcycles, kit cars, custom, modern classics, vans, light commercials, trucks and Land Rovers. Tickets available at http://rb.gy/ryt4n
Open gardens event, Whichchurch Silk Mill, 1pm to 5.30pm, £10.
Nine unique gardens are to be showcased to the public for the first time to help raise money to help keep the endangered heritage skill of silk weaving alive at the mill. Under 16s go free.
Summer serenade, St George’s Church, Andover Road, 3.30pm, £10.
Beautiful music from Helen Page, Oliver Williams and Harmony, with Pimm’s and strawberries at interval. Cash only. Children free. Proceeds go to the work of the church.
Monday
Newbury and District Transport Group meeting, Kennet School, Thatchamm 7.30pm to 10pm, free.
David Canning will show some transport films and railway photographs from his collection. Archive and modern. All welcome. Raffle, refreshments.
Tuesday
Ukraine talk, Marlborough Town Hall, 6pm, free.
