Local beer festival, The Hatchet Inn, Market Place, until Sunday, March 17.
A range of 20 real ales, including five from overseas brewers, will be available at pub during its 12-day beer festival. The beers will cost £2.49 a pint.
Saturday
Sustainability fair, Corn Exchange, Market Place, 10am to 5pm, free.
Browse eco-friendly makers, businesses and charities celebrating greener living. Connect with others and get ideas for making sustainable changes, while enjoying refreshments from the Café Bar.
Newbury Chamber Choir performance, St John’s Church, 6pm, £15 tickets include refreshments, under 18s free.
The choir will perform ‘My Spirit sang all day,’ a short, early evening concert of delightful English part-songs by Finzi, Stanford, Parry, Elgar and Thiman.
Sunday
Mother’s Day printmaking workshop, The Base, Greenham Business Park, 10am to 12pm, £50.
Led by Charlotte Adcock, the workshop will involve creating a range of prints to take away. Participants will receive a small frame for their artwork.
Wednesday
Berkshire Family History Society meeting, West Berkshire Museum, 2pm to 4pm, £5 to non-members, free to members.
Local historian and author Clive Williams traces the rise of the Craven family from the Tudor period. In this talk see how they amassed titles and enormous wealth, not to mention extensive landholdings in Berkshire and throughout the country.
Lambing event, Mole Country Stores, Hectors Way, 6pm to 8pm.
An evening all about lambing, with expert talks from Rebecca Moore, Mole Valley Farmers' Beef & Sheep specialist, Jeremy North from Strathclyde, and Sue Bryan from Volac.
