Art exhibition and sale, Pangbourne Village Hall, April 19 to 21.

Organised by Pangbourne Rotary Club. Also running a school's art competition in the Small Hall at the same time. Friday’s preview evening runs from 6pm to 9pm, on Saturday the gallery will be open from 10am to 5pm and on Sunday it will be open from 10am to 4pm.

National Primrose Day event, Newtown Road Cemetery, 10am to 4pm, free.

A programme of tours and talks focusing the lives of the people buried at the cemetery. There will be refreshments in the cemetery chapel and an exhibition of artwork, including a display of the wild flowers currently blooming.

Aldworth Saturday Market, Aldworth Village Hall, Bell Lane, 10.30am to 12pm, free.

Stalls include designer jewellery and repairs, ladies’ scarves and jumpers, locally grown flowers and plants, home-made preserves and chutneys plus handmade cards and candles. As always, potluck fruit & vegetables, groceries, sweets plus tea bar refreshments for only 50p.

Newbury Bowls Club open day, Victoria Park, 1.30pm.

The club opens its doors to welcome new members as Newbury's mayor has been invited by tradition to bowl the first wood of the season. From Monday April 22 and throughout the summer, members will be welcoming all ages from 13+ to experience this relatively inexpensive sport played in a friendly atmosphere. Burghclere Spring Jumble Sale, Portal Hall, 2pm.

Country and Western dance, Woodlands St Mary Social Club & Village Hall, 7.45pm to 10.45pm, £6.50.
