Dementia Action Week garden party, Jubilee Sensory Garden, Brownsfield Road, Thatcham, 10.30am to 12.30pm, free.
Thatcham Town Council is throwing the party to support and raise awareness for individuals and families affected by dementia. Free refreshments can be enjoyed in the garden, whilst listening to live music from local musician Sion Wiley who will be playing acoustic songs from across the decades. There will also be the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative piece of artwork designed to highlight the community.
Saturday
Aldworth Saturday Market, Aldworth Village Hall, 10.30am to 12pm, free.
Stalls include locally grown flowers and plants, home-made preserves and chutneys, handsewn tote bags and tea towels plus handmade cards and candles. As always, potluck fruit & vegetables, groceries, sweets will be on sale plus teabar refreshments for only 50p.
Open Studio art exhibition, Rookery Farm Studio, Woolton Hill, Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 5pm, free.
Free teas and plant sale in aid of Fairclose Dementia Charity.
East Woodhay Flower Show, East Woodhay Village Hall, 2pm, 50p.
Flower show as well as plant and jumble sale. Vegetable, annual and herbaceous plants for sale alongside clothing, books and bric a brac.
Country and Western dance, Woodlands St Mary Social Club & Village Hall, 7.45pm to 11pm, £6.50.
Sunday
Victoria Park Family Day, 12pm to 4pm, free.
There will be entertainment for all ages including traditional Punch and Judy shows, performances on the bandstand, climbing wall, police car and fire engine, rugby, tennis and bowls sessions and more. Organised by Newbury Town Council.
Classic car meet, The Bell, Aldworth, 12pm, free.
