Thursday
Newbury Bobtails lacemakers exhibition, Carnegie Room, Newbury Library, Thursday to Saturday, Monday and Tuesday, free.
Members of Newbury Bobtails will be demonstrating lacemaking throughout the exhibition. Visitors will be able to have a go at making bobbin lace. Thursday 10am to 6pm, Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday 10am to 4pm.
Open evening shopping event, LUNA, Northbrook Street, 5.30pm until late.
Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer. Glass of prosecco on offer.
Friday
Low-noise fireworks display, Kennet School, Thatcham, gates open at 6.30pm, display starts at 7.30pm, £10 per adult, £5 per child.

Wilton Windmill Association AGM, Coronation Hall, East Grafton, 7.30pm.
All are welcome. A chance to find out more about the association’s plans for next year and to get involved. There will be wine, cheese and nibbles on offer too.

Saturday
Remembrance welcome event, Newtown Road Cemetery, 10am to 3.30pm, free.
For the first time a ‘Commonwealth War Graves Tour’ will be held by Steve Schollar at 10am and 12pm. This will be followed at 2pm by a ‘Golden Couples Tour’ celebrating the lives of couples buried at the cemetery, who survived various wars and lived to celebrate their Golden Wedding, given by the group’s secretary Carol Brindley. This is also an opportunity for anyone who has a family member buried at the cemetery to find their grave using the group’s find a grave service.
Bradfield Christmas market, Bradfield Southend Village Hall, 10am to 12pm.
More than 20 different stalls with local crafts and gifts as well as foodstuffs. Free entry and free parking. Refreshments also available including homemade mince pies.
Monday
Poetry group meeting, Wash Common Library, Glendale Avenue, 3pm.
Where we will be getting ready to wrap up for winter, exploring the theme of hats, coats, gloves and scarves.
Newbury National Trust Association talk and monthly meeting, The Indoor Bowls Club, Pyle Hill, 7.30pm to 9.30pm, £3.
Christopher Leworthy gives a talk on Operation Chastise, commonly known as the Dambusters Raid.
Wednesday
Berkshire Family History Society Newbury branch meeting, West Berkshire Museum, 2pm to 4pm, members free, visitors £5.
Talk by Carol Brindley titled “Cope Hall: A Women’s Training Colony”. Join Carol as she describes the more recent history of Cope Hall, near Newbury, the time when it was used as a Women's Training Colony. A place where "rescued" women, who might otherwise have found themselves in prison.
